Evening: Head back in the direction of LandyCampers HQ, and spend the night at the beautiful Sparrow's Campsite to give yourself a short drive tomorrow.

Day 6: A Return to Essex - From Countryside Walks to Fond Farewells
Morning: Wake up to the serene surroundings of Sparrow's Campsite in Halstead. After a hearty breakfast, drive to the picturesque village of Finchingfield, often referred to as the "most photographed village in England". Its duck pond, village green, and humpback bridge create a scene straight out of a postcard.
Mid-Morning to Early Afternoon: Embark on a delightful walk from Finchingfield to Wethersfield and back. This round-route walk offers a mix of charming village scenes, open fields, and wooded paths. Along the way, you'll encounter historical churches, traditional English cottages, and perhaps even some local wildlife. The walk is a perfect way to immerse yourself in the tranquil Essex countryside and breathe in the fresh air. Alternatively, for beach-lovers, head East to Mersea Island, a unique part of the Essex coast that boasts beautiful walks and iconic colourful beach-huts! Stop for lunch at the famous Company Shed seafood spot, a firm favourite of ours for many years (well, decades!)
